Part travel guide and part cookbook,  “Eat Drink Delta” chronicles my travels through the Mississippi Delta in pursuit of hot tamales, Kool-Aid pickles, and other culinary  mysteries of this storied region.

My mom and her best friend Donna who came to visit from Seattle. Despite living on opposite sides of the country throughout their adulthood they have kept up with each other for 60 plus years! Without Facebook!
OMG! Kristas made from scratch yellow cake with brown butter frosting with salted caramel ice cream and pistachio ice cream. I hurt.
Grilled ny strip. Twice baked Gorgonzola stuffed potatoes. Asparagus with lemon Dijon mayo. Good friends. Does life get better than this?
